FSC® Certification / Sustainable Woods
ETO Doors Corp. is a partner in working towards a "Green" environment. ETO Doors Corp. is pleased to announce its new initiatives to make our company a greener environmental-friendly workplace.
In 2009 ETO Doors became one of only a few U.S. door companies certified by the Forest Stewardship Council®, or FSC®. FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. FSC® is nationally represented in more than 50 countries around the world.
Receiving the FSC® certifications means that ETO Doors has demonstrated responsibility in the make and manufacture of doors, particularly in regards to forestry. Please inquire about our FSC® certified doors, which come with a physical seal of approval.
Please be assured that ETO Doors Corp. is committed to the protection of the Rain Forest. Strict compliance is maintained with all foreign government regulations to protect the Rain Forest. None of the timber used to produce ETO Doors is ever listed as endangered.
All of our Brazilian Mahogany doors are produced from sustainable wood products and are supplied from re-harvesting plants in South America.
ETO Doors has provided doors to numerous projects nationwide that have been "LEED" Certified (Platinum: the highest level of Green Certification attainable).
Solar Panels
As for our facility itself, ETO Doors now hosts numerous solar panels on its roof tops. Solar panels generate electricity by channeling natural sunlight. These panels are environment-friendly because they do not pollute or require the use of non-replenishable resources. Los Angeles has an average of 320 full sunny days per year, giving us the perfect climate to use our solar panels to go green.
These solar panels have converted ETO to an independent energy producer for its electrical needs. ETO’s contribution to the environment by going green is equivalent to saving nearly 1,500 acres of trees, resulting in a significant reduction of toxic air and climate changes.
